In 2012, Kier Construction Northern appointed Sphere 43 to improve the
quality of their awards submissions. By the end of the year, they had won
the prestigious Contractor of the Year award at both the North West
and the UK national finals of the Constructing Excellence Awards.
A series of Award wins
The outstanding Kier team, based in Liverpool and Manchester, had become
frustrated with being finalists, rather than winners. They were delighted to
record a three-year winning streak which included being named
North West Contractor of the Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Additional wins
Four different Kier clients also won Client of Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and
2017 at the annual Constructing Excellence Awards.
Over six years, The Kier team, expertly led by Dylan Wyn Jones,
won 20 category winner awards in partnership with Sphere 43
– including Project of the Year, Young Achiever of the Year and
Leadership and Development.
Kier North West were also finalists in an additional 17 categories.
